Rainwater gardens are a dynamic opportunity for students to witness and examine firsthand the forces of nature and how theses forces operate on the outdoor grounds of our schools.  The gardens open the door to students understanding ways that they can protect water resources and minimize our collective impact on earth.  A rainwater garden can be the means to directly address expectations for achievement in science set out in the Minnesota Academic Standards in Science.
