There are many advantages for volunteering in your community such as to learn new skills, explore a career, meet other students with similar interests, and give back to the community. There are many options available for students in the Twin Cities area to volunteer with community organizations. Click on the links below to take you to more information about volunteering with that organization.

Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley, MN is aimed towards teenagers interested in working with summer camps, animals, and more!

American Red Cross: Twin Cities Chapter is always looking for volunteers in all age groups. 

Animal Humane Society in Minneapolis, MN is for students ages 16 years and older who have a love for animals. 

Minnesota Dpt. of Veterans Affairs (VA Health Care System) in Minneapolis is for students ages 14 and older who have interest in helping in hospitals or clinics. 

Hands On Twin Cities is a great tool for finding volunteer events for kids and teens in the Twin Cities area.

Youth Farm and Market Project based in Minneapolis, has youth ages 9 and older during the school year and the summer to learn about cooking, gardening, food systems, food distribution, and more. 

Minneapolis Homeless Shelter for youth ages 12 and older can be involved with serving meals and general upkeep of the house.
